sir, i am working in the postal department for past 19 years, before four years i have applied for the the IPO examination but my application was rejected stating that i am physically handicapped, since physically handicapped employees are not eligible for the above post.after passing IPO examination only i am eligible for group-B examination(ie.,post like SPOs,SSPOs).i can apper group-B examination thro clerical line after attaining the promotion of LSG,for that i have to wait for atleast thirty years.but as per civil service examination rules i am eligible for post like SPOs,SSPOs( both legs affected but not arms). As i am physically handicapped by legs not by arms,so i kindly request you to know whether i can apporach court for my grivence.
{The physically handicapped persons are not to be denied promotion on medical grounds if they are otherwise fit for promotion and can discharge the duties satisfactorily-ph act 1995} for your kind information ,recentaly my application for group examination was also rejected, i want to appear for group exam,pl guide

Re: exam clarification
As per the rule the physically handicapped candidate are not permitted to appear the IP exam.
When I was General Secretary the issue was taken and the draft was forwarded to Social Ministry for approval
To permit them to appear in the exam. This was just a formality.
Thereafter there’s no follow up action
This is still pending
I will remind the CHQ to revive the case
